Reunion

Prompted by Dafter's blog 'Save our Spice', and the news that the Spice Girls are staging a comback, I am wondering if we should not form a tribute band - especially since I have it on good authority that tributes have been known to charge more for a gig than the genuine article and it could prove pretty lucrative!

Since Bristol tribute band 'The Rolling Clones' have had threatening letters from representatives of the Rolling Stones, accusing them of 'passing off' (trading on the Stones' image) we shall have to be careful and rename ourselves accordingly.

Being neither sporty, ginger, posh or blond bimbo I shall take the role of Scary Spice, now rechristened 'ASBO Spice'. The first four girlies* to put themselves forward with a suitable moniker/alter-ego shall be my co-members.

*Boys, if you have a gender issue or second wardrobe I'm not going to stop you applying.

That's the Blog Birds almost sorted then, with me as ASBO Spice, Dafter as Silly Spice, LA Spice as, er, LA SPice, and Siina as Gingernut Spice.

Kevin wins the 'old fogey' award for failing to realise he'd been pipped at the post in that LA Spice is Victoria Beckham.

Maddogs unfortunately failed the audition when he realised just how much of him would need to be waxed.

However, we still need a 'sporty' one. In view of the fact that we are mostly idle bloggers, we may have to change this to Lazy Spice.

  Sorry Joe, too late, although you can be an understudy if you have the bottle - it would be a brave man who wore tights in Scotland!
  
  So, we now have a full line-up for the Blog Birds: ASBO Bird, LA Bird, Gingernut Bird, Bimbo Bird, and Lazy Bird.
  
  Now we just wait for the phone to ring.

  Of course you can have a new outfit, and the platform shoes too provided you sign a disclaimer saying you will pay for your own hip replacement when you fall off them.
  
  As for the designer pooch, bear in mind I am compelled to stamp on anything smaller than a Jack Russell.
